This Innovation Challenges Program aims to promote innovation in the care of patients with Hepatocellular Carcinoma, focusing on promoting the development of impact solutions in prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and patient care.
The program offers a privileged environment for startups and hospital projects that develop advanced technologies and therapies related to Hepatocellular Carcinoma.
Solutions that integrate communication and monitoring of the disease through digital solutions that allows coordination with patients and caregivers, including the use of specific tools (such as cachexia surveillance).
Solutions that allow communication between transversal hospital units, as well as sharing knowledge and advice in an automated way.
Solutions for the management of appointments with prioritization, support services for the control and mitigation of side effects of the treatment and psychological support for the patient and family.
Solutions that help the patient know the importance of the disease, help change the social stigma about the disease (obesity and alcoholism) and raise awareness in primary care.
Solutions that allow digital and remote monitoring of patients with chronic liver disease.

During the Selection Day, the finalist startups and hospital projects will present their solution to the Experts Committee who will select those projects that will become part of the Innovation Challenges Program.
May 6th - 10th 2024
Execution of the Innovation Challenges Program with the objective of supporting the development of selected startups and hospital projects through mentoring and workshops on various topics.
May - June 2024
Closing event of the Innovation Challenges Program.
September 2024
Open Call for startups and hospital projects that meet the participation requirements.
