Innovation Challenges Program in Ophthalmology

This Innovation Challenges Program aims to promote innovation in the care of patients with ocular diseases, focusing on promoting the development of impact solutions in prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and patient care.

The program offers a privileged environment for startups and hospital projects that develop technologies related to Ophthalmology.

2024 Challenges

1. Virtual diagnostics

Digital solutions that facilitate automatic image screening and analysis.

2. Measurement of quality and effectiveness of the service

Solutions to improve and measure the quality of healthcare.

3. Creation of new predictive models and personalized medicine

Solutions prevent disease through automated detection, patient forecasting, automated image analysis, and digital twins.

4. Education and awareness

Solutions to educate and raise awareness among the general population and diabetic patients to transmit information about the pathology.

5. Patient Support

Solutions to provide psychological care and support to patients, personalized treatment monitoring, and automatic patient stratification.

Open Call for startups and hospital projects that meet the participation requirements.

March 13th - April 26th 2024

Selection Day

During the Selection Day, the finalist startups and hospital projects will present their solution to the Experts Committee who will select those projects that will become part of the Innovation Challenges Program.

May 6th - 10th 2024

Innovation Challenges

Execution of the Innovation Challenges Program with the objective of supporting the development of selected startups and hospital projects through mentoring and workshops on various topics.

May - June 2024

Expo Day

Closing event of the Innovation Challenges Program.
