Creasphere Insights – Cardiovascular Disease

#3 Trend Overview for 2022

Cardiovascular Diseases (CVDs) are the leading cause of death worldwide with an estimated 18M fatalities annually and covering 30% of all fatalities on a global scale. The most common CVDs include coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, and rheumatic heart disease.

In general, CVDs are heavily influenced by behavioural factors such as lack of physical activity, unhealthy diet, and harmful substance abuse such as alcohol and tobacco.

As behavioural factors are driving CVD onset, progression and disease outcome, digital solutions that educate, incentivise and foster healthy patient behavior at scale can take a leading role in both coping with the CVD pandemic as well as taking the burden off global health systems.

Startup Creasphere held an insight session on this to learn about the newest technologies in the field of CVDs. We are at the forefront of innovation and are granting a selected group of corporates access to the most inspiring founders in the industry across the globe. Startup Creasphere’s insights sessions are intended to cover the latest trends in the healthcare space to learn from each other.
