Startup Creasphere goes APAC

Building on five successful batches in Munich, Startup Creasphere now expands its program to the APAC region: On August 24, a trial batch will kick off in Singapore. The new location of the established digital health accelerator will build on the proven concept from Munich to foster startup collaboration in the growing Asian market.

“Over the next few years, both within Roche and in healthcare generally, I believe we will see Asia Pacific emerge as a leader of innovation and a shaper of the future. This is why I am incredibly excited to announce the launch of Startup Creasphere in Singapore”, says Lance Little, Managing Director, Region Asia Pacific. “The program offers us a completely new approach to finding the next big digital healthcare solutions to enable a smarter, more efficient customer experience or to create innovative business opportunities in our markets.” As in Munich, the program will be run by Roche together with Sanofi Consumer Healthcare as well as Plug and Play, early stage investor, accelerator and corporate innovation platform with global headquarters in Silicon Valley.

The team will be working within the global Startup Creasphere framework – a 12-week accelerator program in which the selected startups will be working on pilot projects together with Roche project owners. In Singapore the focus will be put on co-creation with customers in APAC countries to explore new business models and commercialization opportunities in the region. These six focus topics for the trial batch have been selected: Telemedicine and Point of Care (Singapore), Remote Patient Monitoring (Malaysia), End-to-end Influenza Management (Korea, Pharma), Migraine Care, Gut Health Management and Allergy
